What to Pack

Mytanfeet.com is an excellent resource for everything Costa Rica.  Click the button above for their packing list and any other research you may want.

The most important thing to bring is comfortable cool clothes.  It will be 90-100 degrees so you want to be able to stay cool.  Think linen and quick-dry fabrics.  Always have a rain jacket in Costa Rica but in March you likely wont need it at all in Guanacaste.

Sunglasses, Sunscreen, Bug Spray, Hats

This is the desert, It will be hot.  Bring Reef Safe sunscreen for the ocean and at least 2 pairs of sunglasses in case the waves take a pair.

Anthelios is great for the face, and Blue Lizard is really good too.

Multiple swim suits and surf shirts

This one should be a no brainer.  Bring a lot of swimsuits, surf shirts, UPF blocking clothing, hats, etc...

No Formal Wear (Men must have pants and closed toed shoes)

This is a beach wedding.  No suits or sport coats required.  That being said dinners at Secrets are "Casual Elegance" and require pants and a collar with closed toed shoes for men.  Women just need to not have on a coverup or swimsuit.  Chris wears linen pants and shirts for dinner.
Ladies, leave your high heels at home.  Not only is this a casual country but the uneven roads and steep inclines make this dangerous (even for the most skilled).

Excursion Wear

If you are heading to Monteverde, definitely bring a rain jacket.  You might want water shoes for rafting or walking the beach (the sand gets hot), or hiking to waterfalls.  Athletic wear and shoes for zip-lining, etc...
